Its Almost Over—Will You Still Stand?

This has been a year of division. It didn’t necessarily start out that way, but by the time August came the United States was divided. Politics became a heated subject more than usual, and people were on one side or the other.

It as difficult to tell sometimes if there is a good side this election. We tried to say well, this one is for abortion and this one is not, but in the end, both agreed to abortion in one form or another. Embryonic stem cell research kills unused fetuses and that is a form or abortion.

Then we have what we are still facing around the world—economic meltdown of a manipulated kind. Interesting how man can plan for greed and not for the disaster that comes on other people. And at the point, the top executives walk away with millions of the bankrupt corporations and the “common folk” walk away from homes and businesses with nothing. This election is more about what isn’t right with the world than what is, and there are no easy answers if we continue to look towards man for the source of our funding.

Philippians 4:19 says that “But MY GOD shall supply all my needs according to His riches in glory through Christ Jesus.” Now I don’t know about you, but that’s a pretty serious promise to stand on. Have you tried it?

Most people have a wish list that God is to fulfill, but he didn’t say he would supply our lusts and desires. He said our needs would be met. Perhaps as the boys of Wall St and the economic centers around the world are reassessing their financial health and world domination, it is time for us, the church, to re-evaluate our overall status with God.

Let us remember the words of James 4:3 “You have not because you ask amiss; that you may consume it upon your lusts.” Amiss is praying things that are considered grievous in the eyes of God. We are to look to God for those things that are needed, not things we want out of greed.

God has proven time and time again to me personally, and through the work of this ministry, that when there is a need, God has always supplied it. We thank Him for being Jehovah Jireh, the Lord our Provider.

Sometimes what we need is not finances, but it is the witty ideas or vision of what to do wisely with what we have. Other times it is to receive the peace of God so that we do not have anxiety and fears over what we cannot control. All of these and more are providing our needs.

God owns all things and supplies all things, let us reassess our needs and by making sure that we are in right standing with the Lord.

The Holy Spirit has confirmed many times that there will be severe challenges in the days and months ahead. It is a time when the hearts of man may fail him if he is not rooted and grounded in the knowledge of the Lord, trusting Him for all things.

Will you be able to stand in the days ahead, knowing that you have nothing to fear, but will have as you do now—power, love, and a sound mind—being transformed into the mind of Christ [Romans 12:1-2] and that we will be able to stand.

I pray your strength and empowerment because and through Christ Jesus. If you have a specific prayer need, just email me at bishopsusan@mudministries.org

We also have an early morning prayer line at 6am eastern time. 6:00 am to 6:15 am so people can get to work or school.

This is a long distance charge:
[712] 432-1601 participant code 1077050#

Everyone is welcome to join us. If you will email your prayer request before that time, we do lay hands on all requests daily.

You are special to God and to us. Tell your friends about the newsletter, prayer line, and what is happening at MUD International.

October 24th Bishop Susan was the guest on Living In Black And White, live on-line program. You can hear the audio by either going to our website www.mudministries.org or www.livinginblackandwhite.ning.com and clicking on-demand.

She addressed the book that Scholastic Book Club has suggested for school youth to read entitled “Conversations With God”. Some of you may member it from about 1993, and there has been a movie made of it. Why is it a dangerous book for people to read?

It is totally New Age based on eastern mysticism. Because Bishop Susan had participated in that movement years ago, the language of the book put up red flags. In the book the “god” that dictates the messages of three books to Mr. Neale Donald Walsh is none other than a demon posing as the God of the Bible.

The god of this book states that the Bible is not worth reading, that we should not hold the Word of God to be the principle thing of life, but in fact it is our experiences that are what we should hold closest to us.

It goes further to state that there is no such thing as judgment and no sin. That god literally was/is an energy of higher nature which released us into creation so that he could experience himself through us. That Adam and Eve were chased from the garden because he chose that to happen.

One of the most disturbing facts of no sin and we live through our experiences is the teaching of this god, that there is no such thing as death; that we are on a course of incarnation. What you don’t learn in this lifetime, you will continue to develop through many lifetimes. Once you get the basics down, then you will live several more lifetimes to understand love.

Now all of this is head-on in a collision course with the Holy Bible and the God of the creation and who desires to have communication with us, who loves us and we have choice in this lifetime.

Some of these same philosophies are entering into the mainstream Christian body of Christ. To help eliminate some of the confusion, Bishop Susan is completing a small book which will be available through our website within the next month. Look for a special email announcement. It is a must read for every believer.
